OSAA TRACK & FIELD STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

EUGENE - The 4A track and field competition has concluded and Pendleton finishes 3rd in the team standings for the boys, while La Grande finishes 4th, Baker ties for 7th and Ontario at 22nd.

For the girls, La Grande ties for 5th, Pendleton finishes 12th, Ontario finishes 16th and Baker ends up at 23rd.

A controversial ending to the evening, as the Baker boys 4x400 Relay team handily won the race and set a new meet record, but was disqualified after a Bulldog spiked the baton after crossing the finish line. The OSAA ruled the move was unsportsmanlike and took away the Bulldogs victory.
