LA GRANDE: Parks and Rec closes playgrounds, skate park

The health and well-being of our community members, employees, businesses, and partners are our top priority.
As part of our preparedness efforts, the City of La Grande is adhering to guidance from health authorities with
expertise and implementing measures in accordance with the City’s Emergency Operations Plan.

IN A CONTINUING EFFORT TO LIMIT THE SPREAD OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS AND TO COMPLY WITH THE GOVERNOR’S EXECUTIVE ORDERED ISSUED TODAY, MARCH 23, 2020, ALL PARK PLAYGROUNDS, THE SKATE PARK, COLLMAN BASKETBALL COURTS, MAX SQUARE, AND ALL PARK RESTROOMS WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PARK OPEN SPACES REMAIN OPEN AS LONG AS CITIZENS ARE MAINTAINING PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING DURING THEIR ACTIVITIES. ALL CITY PARKS MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS WILL CONTINUE, BUT LIKE THE GOVERNOR HAS MANDATED; STAY HOME AND SAVE LIVES.
