DUII CRASH NEAR CENTRAL ELEMENTARY

On December 3, 2019, at 10:13 pm police officers from the La Grande Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash on H Avenue near Cedar Street. At the scene of the crash, the officers found a 2006 Subaru Outback had crashed through the chain-link fence on the north side of the sidewalk, coming to rest in the grass field area west of Central Elementary School. The property damage included over 100 feet of the chain-link fence being torn down.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle had been traveling north on Cedar Street and traveled through the stop sign at H Avenue, failing to turn left or right at the T intersection.
The driver of the vehicle was Caleb Andrew Woodworth, a 24-year-old La Grande resident. No injuries were sustained in the crash. After an investigation, Woodworth was arrested and lodged in the Union County Jail on the listed charges.
