BAKER CITY: Strangulation, Assault IV and Menacing

On December 2, 2019 at approximately 9:39 a.m., Baker County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a report of shots fired at 31372 Hwy 86 in Baker City.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the reporting party, Lisa Eber. She was in the residence with her son, Kevin Eber (DOB 10/7/89), when they began arguing. During the argument, Kevin Eber assaulted his mother. As Lisa Eber left the residence she thought she heard a gunshot.

Deputies continued to watch the residence and attempted to make contact with Kevin Eber. At approximately 3:08 p.m., Kevin Eber left the residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Strangulation, Assault IV, and Menacing. Eber was transported to the Baker County Jail.
