Only one item on the ballot in Union County, during elections Tuesday. A special election for the Union School District was held with 968 ballots counted out of 1885 eligible voters, the bond is in favor with 636 saying yes and 332 saying no. This $4 million dollar bond is for improvements for the Union School District to upgrading school facilities. It will cost taxpayers $1.10 per $1,000 of assessed property value. With a grant recently awarded for $4 million dollars, the total will be $8 million dollars for the projects.
