BURNS: Sheriff & Chief rescue tangled buck

According to the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, you never know what your shift will look like when you work in law enforcement.

On November 4, it meant rescuing a small buck dubbed “Bambi” that was tangled in a lawn chair. A Burns resident reported the young deer with the lawn furniture problem in their yard. Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward and Burns Police Department’s Chief Newt Skunkcap responded to free the buck. See the heroic–and a bit western– rescue on a video posted to the Harney County Sheriff’s Facebook page, and shared onto My Harney County.
