PENDLETON: Colbray switches jails

A man wanted in a shooting in Kennewick was in Umatilla County Jail, but before he could be extradited to Kennewick, Anthony Colbray Jr. had some other Oregon charges he had to deal with.

Umatilla County Corrections Lt. Thoren Hearn confirmed that Colbray was in Umatilla County Jail after being picked up in the city of Umatilla. He has since been shipped off to Jackson County in southwestern Oregon to face unspecified charges there.

Kennewick police have a nation-wide extraditable warrant issued for Colbray, and it is considered likely that after he has dealt with criminal charges in Oregon, extradition hearings for Washington state will begin.

Colbray is the suspect in an early morning shooting on June 8 at 3 City Sports Bar. Both Theodore Turner and Juvenal Torres were shot, treated at local hospitals and later released. A two-month-long investigation led detectives to name Colbray as the person responsible for the shooting.
