WALLOWA COUNTY: Clearing a path for trails

The Wallowa Mountains Hells Canyon Trail Association is clearing a big path for all outdoor enthusiasts. The non-profit group is clearing an area for a path in the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Hells Canyon, and a few trails outside of the wilderness in Union County. An estimated 600 trees have been cut, which has opened up about 75 miles of trails. The Wallowa Mountains Hells Canyon Trail Association started this project two years ago.
