In an update from the Malheur National Forest on the Blue Ridge Fire, crews and engines will continue mop up today, with total containment estimated for tomorrow. Currently the fire is still estimated at 667 acres in size, and staffed by 125 personnel. Resources include four Type 2 crews; nine Type 6 engines; and one water tender. It’s burning approximately four miles northwest of Flagtail Lookout.
The fire will continue to produce smoke for several days as interior pockets of fuel are consumed.
