BAKER COUNTY: Seven sworn in as Reserve Officers

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office celebrated the achievement of seven individuals with a swearing-in ceremony in front of their friends, family, and co-workers recently. These citizens graduated from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Academy and have earned the distinction of Reserve Deputy according to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office.
Reserve Deputies work within the various divisions of the Sheriff’s Office to assist personnel and offer additional coverage when necessary. This academy was led by Deputies Eric Colton and Chad Mills. Recruits spent their time learning about the divisions of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, traffic and criminal laws, responding to emergency calls, as well as other law enforcement related subjects. This voluntary training occurred mainly during evenings and weekends.
The seven graduates juggled their professional and family lives to attend training and field exercises. The department notes that they are inspired by the dedication and commitment of these individuals and look forward to their future serving Baker County with the Sheriff’s Office.
