LA GRANDE: Bomb threat causes evacuation

On June 11, 2019, at 9:47 a.m. Union County 911 dispatch received a phone call from a male caller stating there were bombs in the Union County Courthouse that were set to detonate in 30 minutes.

Per protocols, the courthouse staff and citizens were immediately evacuated. La Grande PD, Union County Sheriff’s Office and La Grande Fire Department all responded to the location. Law enforcement conducted a search of the premises and no devices were located. La Grande Fire Department provided a ladder truck so law enforcement could access the roof for inspection.
