BAKER COUNTY: Cribs for Kids program helps families

Baker County has one of the highest percentages of co-sleeping deaths per capita in Oregon. One-way officials are working to stop this statistic is with the Cribs for Kids Program. This program is used to educate and promote safe sleep practices to keep all babies safe. Cribs are available for families who need a safe place for their child to sleep.
The Baker County District Attorney’s Office has partnered with the National Cribs for Kids program, St. Alphonsus Hospital, St Luke’s Medical Center, Oregon Department of Human Services, Northeast Oregon Compassion Center, Building Healthy Families, The Rachael Pregnancy Center, The Baker County Health Department and local emergency services to promote this campaign.
