BURNS: Man turns self in, tries smuggling contraband

A man in Burns turned himself in on three valid Harney County warrants yesterday. Eric Patrick Carlson held one warrant with charges including two counts of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle; Fleeing/Eluding; Burglary II; Criminal Mischief II and Reckless Driving.

Another warrant included charges of Attempting to Elude a Police Officer and Reckless Driving, and the third warrant was for Driving While Suspended/Revoked.

While being booked into jail, Harney County Dispatch logs indicate that contraband fell from the rectum area of the inmate. The item was recovered and Carlson was booked and lodged into the Harney County Jail Facility.
