BAKER CITY: K9 Capa assists in controlled substance arrest

On the morning of February 9, 2019, officers from the Baker City Police Department stopped a maroon 189 Lincoln Continental for a traffic violation in the parking of Safeway in Baker City, Oregon. During the traffic stop, reasonable suspicion of illegal controlled substance activity was suspected involving the occupants of the vehicle and Baker City Police Department drug canine “Capa” was called out and deployed on an open-air sniff of the vehicle exterior. “Capa” alerted to the presence of controlled substance odors coming from the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and several pieces of suspected methamphetamine drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.
The following persons were arrested as a result of the investigation:
Victoria McLean – DOB: 11/26/1982 address: 142 E 11st Street, Prairie City, Oregon
– Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
