UNION COUNTY: A helping hand during the holiday season

The North Pole Shopping bus of Northeast Oregon Transit and partnership with Union County Commissioners will hit the streets of Union County the week of December 10th through the 14th. Angie Peters Transit Manager at Northeast Oregon Public Transit, part of Community Connections of Northeast Oregon said.
“It will be available to anyone in Union County trying to get into town trying to do their holiday shopping. It will be available from 11:30 in the morning and 5:30 in the evening. This is a project that started last year that was connected to making December awareness month for Union County and we wanted to have an event going while we were recognizing transit, creating something to fuel business.”
Peters went on to say, to schedule a ride you need to call the day before. This is the 2nd year for this program and the hopes to continue the next several years.
