BAKER COUNTY: Protect yourself from mosquitoes

The weather is hot but people are still out and about enjoying their summer, but with summer weather, comes the presence of mosquitoes. While there have not been any local cases of West Nile reported to date this year, it is important to remember to protect yourself from mosquito bites. Precautions such as wearing bug spray that contains DEET, Picaridin, or Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus, wear long-sleeved shirts and pants when possible and avoid outdoor activities at dawn and dusk. You are also reminded to report any standing water, dead birds or any other mosquito related problems to your local vector control.
