OREGON: Livestock suffer due to lack of water

This week the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office urged livestock producers to check on their cattle watering tanks. There have been reports of floats being taken off and valves being shut off on the tanks. With the recent hot weather, livestock is suffering and livestock has been found dead or in poor condition due to the lack of water. The incident primarily has occurred in the Weston area along highway 204. Authorities in the local area urge livestock producers to frequently check water tanks, especially during the hot days of summer.
